CRUX is the rock climbing club for the lesbian, gay, bisexual & transgender community of New York City and Westchester.

We are a core of LGBT climbers who climb, socialize, train, and compete together. The atmosphere is always supportive and welcoming and members are sure to have a great time getting in shape while meeting new people.

Crux is here to make LGBT climbers more visible in the climbing community and beyond. We also want to use climbing as a tool to empower LGBT members - successfully making it to the top of the wall is incredibly rewarding.  The best part is that rock climbing is a great sport for people of all ages and abilities.  Everyone is welcome to join the fun! 

We meet and climb at gyms in Westchester and in New York City and are eager to take on the great outdoors next Summer. We'll also travel to local and regional competitions throughout the year.  If you're interested in competing (or just want to show your support for our climbers) make sure to let us know at the next meeting!!

Never tried climbing? Don’t worry, it’s fun right from the beginning.  CRUX has a great mix of climbers from complete beginners to sponsored athletes.  No matter who you are, you'll fit right in!
